On this 264th episode of my Monday Morning Pep Talk, I’m here to remind you of the critical importance of staying focused on the vital few - the things that truly move the needle in your life and business. As we head into 2025, blocking out the noise, identifying your vital few, and committing to disciplined, consistent execution will be more essential than ever. In this episode, I'll reintroduce you to the 7 most important MMPTs I wrote and delivered in 2024.
Before I jump into today’s call, I want to remind you of my professional purpose: to help you, the full-service, full-fee Advisor, optimize your productivity and become the best version of yourself. Why? Because “Happy Advisors Sell More Real Estate.” I do that by teaching you how to handle the challenges and opportunities you face every day. When you can effectively manage the situations that arise daily in your business, you’ll be more productive and live a life that reflects the best version of yourself. My ask is that you listen as if you’re in a one-on-one coaching session with me, either in my office or on a call.
I spent a lot of time over the holidays thinking about the power of keeping things simple in all categories of my life and business. There’s a brilliance in simplicity that resonates through time, a truth captured by Leonardo da Vinci and later echoed by Steve Jobs: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." It’s a concept that challenges the notion that more is better, reminding us that the most profound solutions are often the most straightforward. In our fast-paced, information-overloaded world, simplicity isn’t just a luxury - it’s a necessity. Stripping away the unnecessary allows us to focus on what truly matters, creating clarity, impact, and beauty in everything from design to decision-making. As I did a review on the content I created in 2024, seven key Monday Morning Pep Talks stood out - each one reflecting the areas I’ve identified as my vital few for 2025. These weren’t just ideas or strategies; they were intentional blueprints designed to simplify, focus, and drive impact in my life and business. Each lesson honed in on what truly matters, creating a clear path forward for the year ahead. Today, I want to share how these insights are shaping my approach for 2025 and why staying laser-focused on the vital few will be the game-changer we all need. I suggest you go back and listen to the following episodes in the coming days and weeks:
Episode #260: Mindset. Math. Momentum. The Power Trio to Ignite Your 2025.
On this episode, I brought to you three powerful words that headline three transformative concepts - the very strategies used by the top 3% of advisors and entrepreneurs to build their dream businesses. I laid out how consistent success boils down to mindset, the math of the business, and momentum. On Episode #260, I revealed how focusing on these three pillars can ignite your results for 2025 and beyond. If applied effectively, these concepts won't just improve your business- they’ll revolutionize it. Let’s dive in and set the stage for your most successful year yet.
Episode #258: What is Your 3 Year Version?
On this episode, I took you through one of the biggest struggles I face as a coach, leader, mentor and that is to convince real estate professionals and entrepreneurs to commit to a 3 Year Vision. It's proven that high achievers are inclined to jump directly to actionable items on their to do lists skipping the exercise of creating their "north star". ELPs and super achievers let their 3 Year Vision guide their decisions. I made a serious attempt to reframe how you should look at your goals and vision so your focus will stay on the version of yourself that you want to become.
Episode #256: Win the Week by Committing to a Weekly Planning Session
On this episode, I dove into an incredibly powerful tool I added to my productivity toolbox in 2024: The Weekly Planning Session. While many of us- including myself in the past - have some version of a weekly review, few take the crucial step of formalizing the process. I guided you through the steps to create your own Weekly Planning Session, a practice that has the potential to revolutionize your productivity.
Episode #254: Think Like a Farmer
On this episode, I dove deep into a metaphor that I've used over the years to describe the power of patience through process. I asked you to "Think Like a Farmer", a profession that requires an enormous amount of experience, patience and faith knowing that "if you plant in the spring, you'll be able to harvest in the fall.”
Episode #251: Measure What Matters
On this episode, I covered the importance of the "art of tracking". This is simply when you track your progress towards a goal, a habit, a routine or a process which will ultimately move you closer to your 3 Year Vision. To effectively change a result of any area of your life or business, you have no choice but to "Measure what Matters".
Episode #249: The Next 10 - You Cannot Automate Thoughtfulness
On this episode, I challenged real estate brokers and entrepreneurs to put an emphasis on strategies that will bring a predictable return on investment both in time and money. I discussed CRM and relationship management techniques that feel authentic and will help you connect with your clients. Your clients want to connect with you in a manner that does not feel like marketing. They respond to thoughtful gestures that prove that you care about them. With that being said, I've always believed that "You Cannot Automate Thoughtfulness" and using "The Next 10" laid out in this episode is exactly how you accomplish that goal.
Episode #239: Are You the Favorite or the Fool?
On this episode, I discussed the highlights I took from the book "The Full Fee Agent" written by Chris Voss and Steve Shull. This book could have easily been named "Are you the favorite or the fool?" because the theme of the book provides insight on how a real estate broker can protect their business by asking the right questions before fully engaging with a potential client. The client selection process has become so important in order to protect your boundaries.
As we wrap up, I encourage you to take a step back and reflect on your own vital few. What are the areas in your life and business that truly drive results and fulfillment? Heading into 2025, the noise won’t stop - but your focus can sharpen. The path forward isn’t about doing more; it’s about doing what matters most with discipline and consistency. By simplifying, prioritizing, and executing with intention, you’ll not only set yourself apart but also position yourself to thrive in the year ahead. Let’s make 2025 the year we embrace simplicity, execute with purpose, and achieve extraordinary results.
