I Am So Happy and Grateful

In this 258th episode, I’m sharing my annual Thanksgiving Week Monday Morning Pep Talk, focusing on one of the most transformative topics: gratitude. If you’re aiming to build a life that’s both predictable and enjoyable, gratitude is absolutely essential. For those who’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve had a go-to affirmation since 2010 that begins with, “I am so happy and grateful...” This practice has been a cornerstone of my life and work. In this episode, I’ll walk you through the story behind my personal affirmation, why I started it, and the incredible power that affirmations hold in shaping your mindset and outcomes.

Before I jump into today’s call, I want to remind you of my professional purpose: to help you, the full-service, full-fee Advisor, optimize your productivity and become the best version of yourself. Why? Because “Happy Advisors Sell More Real Estate.” I do that by teaching you how to handle the challenges and opportunities you face every day. When you can effectively manage the situations that arise daily in your business, you’ll be more productive and live a life that reflects the best version of yourself. My ask is that you listen as if you’re in a one-on-one coaching session with me, either in my office or on a call.

In Q4 of 2010, I became deeply aware of the importance of managing my mindset to shape positive outcomes. It was a period of professional challenges, and I knew that if I had any shot at winning, I needed to create and sustain a frequency of positivity at 51% or higher. My virtual mentors during that time were Bob Proctor and John Assaraf, whose teachings helped me see the value in maintaining a productive mindset through affirmations. An affirmation is a statement of truth that you consciously choose to embed into your thinking, designed to shift your mindset and reprogram your subconscious. As Bob Proctor so powerfully taught, affirmations are a tool to align your thoughts with the results you want to achieve, helping you focus on the positive and override limiting beliefs. They’re not just words; they’re intentional declarations that shape how you see yourself and the world around you. I created my own affirmation, and since then, I’ve said it to myself tens of thousands of times. That simple yet powerful practice has become a cornerstone of my life and success. For me, my affirmation has often served as both a prayer and a battle cry - guiding me in moments of reflection and fueling me in times of action.

My affirmation starts with:

"I AM" - Bob Proctor often emphasized the profound power of the words “I AM.” These two simple words are more than just a phrase - they’re a declaration of identity and intention. When you say “I AM,” you’re speaking directly to your subconscious mind, shaping the way you see yourself and the world. According to Proctor, the subconscious doesn’t differentiate between truth and imagination; it simply accepts what you repeatedly affirm. By choosing empowering statements that begin with “I AM,” you set the tone for your thoughts, actions, and results. It continues with:

"So Happy and Grateful" - Understanding the power of gratitude and my desire to live a happy life, I declared these two words - “I am” - and followed them with a statement of that I was "so happy and grateful" that...

"Money, Success and Introductions" - I wanted success in every area of my life, as defined by me, through "visioneering" and goal setting for both my professional and personal pursuits - including wealth. I realized that achieving financial success would depend on the number of people I connected with and the meaningful, positive impact I had on their lives.

"Flow to Me" - I realized that true personal and financial success would come from creating flow—the ease and alignment that comes with a purposeful pursuit of my goals. This flow would emerge as I connected with more people and made a meaningful, positive impact on their lives.

"In Ever Increasing Quantities" - Success is a compounding process that builds momentum when your mindset and actions remain consistently aligned with your goals. Each day of focused effort reinforces your belief system, creating a ripple effect that amplifies your results over time. With patience and persistence, small wins accumulate into significant achievements, turning disciplined habits into an unstoppable force for growth.

"From a Myriad of Different Sources" - My success comes from many sources - some planned, some unexpected - but all tied back to the deliberate actions I take and the relationships I build. It’s not about luck; it’s about stacking the deck in my favor by creating opportunities and capitalizing on every advantage that aligns with my goals.

"For the Betterment of All Those Involved" - I win when everyone else wins - it’s that simple. My success is built on creating value, solving problems, and delivering results that make others better off. When the people I work with thrive, the ripple effect comes back to me tenfold, because real, sustainable success is never a zero-sum game. This is a non-negotiable part of my affirmation. I go on to state that…

"My Life is Perfect" - "My life is perfect" is a powerful "I AM " affirmation that reclaims control over how you perceive your reality. It’s not about perfection in the traditional sense - it's about choosing to see the beauty, lessons, and opportunities in every moment. By declaring this, I condition my mind to focus on gratitude and resourcefulness, creating the energy to build the life you truly want. I end my affirmation with...

"Every Day, in Every Way, I'm Getting Better and Better" - The final line of the affirmation, “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better,” captures the essence of continuous improvement. I am completely committed to small daily gains and I've learned that getting just 1% better each day compounds over time into extraordinary results. It’s a commitment to progress, knowing that even the smallest positive action today builds the foundation for massive success tomorrow.

There’s so much wisdom packed into that affirmation. As we head into Thanksgiving week, I’m reminded of the incredible power of speaking to yourself in a way that’s productive - shaping your thinking, providing clarity and guidance, and most importantly, keeping your frequency at or above 51%. When you consistently operate at that level, you naturally attract the people, opportunities, and results that make your life and business both predictable and enjoyable.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I appreciate each of you and all of your support.
